We’re celebrating National Lottery Open Week with an amazing art giveaway! From Tuesday 15th June the first 50 visitors who present any National Lottery ticket at the Golden Thread Gallery Reception will receive a free limited edition David Sherry art postcard, signed by the artist!
David Sherry’s work calls out the societal norms of small talk, social etiquette and accepted cultural codes using performance, drawing, painting, video and sound. Playfulness is central to the development of his work. His 2019 exhibition ‘The Philosophical Society‘ here at the Golden Thread was a big hit with Belfast audiences.
This offer will run from Tuesday 15th to Saturday 19th June 2021, or until our limited supply of the postcards runs out. Be quick, there are just 50 in existence!

Every week National Lottery players raise £30 million for good cause projects, like ours. That’s why we’re pleased to be taking part in National Lottery Open Week, which celebrates the contribution of National Lottery players in supporting good causes over the past 26 years.
To thank National Lottery players for their support, from 15th June to 19th June we will be offering a free limited-edition postcard of David Sherry’s ‘Challenging Stuff’ signed by the artist.
As a recipient of National Lottery funding, Golden Thread Gallery has been able to offer free admission to all our contemporary visual art exhibitions, tours, talks and workshops, and to continue our community outreach programmes. We believe art is for everyone, and are proud to be able to keep it accessible for audiences across Northern Ireland, thanks to support from our funders including National Lottery.
The National Lottery supports good cause projects in the areas of arts, education, environment, health, heritage, sport and community. Over the past 26 years, National Lottery players have raised more than £42 billion for projects which are making a huge difference to lives of people and communities throughout the whole of the UK.
We are one of many participating National Lottery-funded projects across the UK who are proud to be taking part in National Lottery Open Week, coming together to say #ThanksToYou to the players with special offers.

Golden Thread Gallery will be taking part in National Lottery Open Week with a special offer of one free limited-edition postcard of David Sherry’s ‘Challenging Stuff’ signed by the artist. There are only 50 in existence.
This offer will run on 15th-19th June or until the supply runs out.

Booking in advance is not required, but the Gallery is operating under Covid safety measures which all visitors are required to follow – please check our website for details.

All National Lottery games (including National Lottery draw-based games and National Lottery scratchcards) purchased in store and online/via app qualify to redeem this offer.
Proof of purchase of a National Lottery game can be either hard copy ticket or digital.
The date of draw / purchase is not relevant.
