Seen as it’s made = Made as it’s seen: Lennon

Golden Thread Gallery presents ‘Seen as it’s made = Made as it’s seen’, a solo exhibition by Lennon, ‘one of the most important Irish painters currently working in the field of non-objective art’. The exhibition in Gallery One and Gallery Two includes a new appearance of Folded/Unfolded, a work with a fifty-year legacy, which will be made in the gallery space itself in August 2021.

The Bystander Effect: Alison Lowry

Golden Thread Gallery are delighted to share Alison Lowry’s new exhibition The Bystander Effect in the Project Space. The culmination of two years of research, The Bystander Effect examines the role that we, as a society, had in allowing an ‘architecture of containment’ to develop in Northern Ireland; the physical infrastructure and systems used to incarcerate women and children in eighteenth and nineteenth century Ireland, including Industrial Schools, Children’s Homes, Mother and Baby Institutions and Magdalene Laundries.
