The Golden Thread Gallery will re-open to the public from Wednesday 2nd September 2020. In order to keep all our visitors and staff safe, and follow government guidelines, we’re asking all visitors to book their visit in advance by emailing us on firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- Name of each visitor
- Planned date of visit
- Planned time-slot of visit (see below)
- Contact email and/or phone number
Available time-slots for visits are as follows:
- 11.00 – 12.00
- 12.00 – 13.00
- 13.00 – 14.00
- 14.00 – 15.00
- 15.00 – 16.00
A maximum number of 10 visitors will be allowed into the gallery during each time-slot. You are free to arrive any time during your booked one-hour slot, up to ten minutes before it ends. We recommend giving yourself at least 20 minutes to tour the exhibitions!
Our other new safety measures include hand sanitisers, signage to guide you through the exhibitions and asking all visitors to please wear a face-covering in the gallery at all times.* Disposable masks will be available from our front desk for a donation of £1.
We will have one accessible bathroom available to visitors only. If you have any other accessibility needs, please let us know in advance and we will do our utmost to facilitate you.

Wheelchair users – The gallery space is fully accessible for wheelchair users, with a ramp entrance and level landing. Blue Badge parking is available outside our venue, with a drop kerb. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet in our venue.
Public parking – is available within 30 metres to the gallery. Should you need assistance in planning your gallery visit please do contact us.

Braille – version of our press release is available, please request in advance.
Exhibition guide – the gallery is happy to accommodate groups and offers guided gallery tours free of charge. Please contact the gallery at least one week in advance if you wish to make a booking. During gallery opening hours staff are here to answer your questions.
Audio description – We do offer audio descriptive tours of our exhibitions, please book at least one week in advance by contacting email@example.com.
Large print version – exhibition panels and press releases are available, just ask a member of staff.
T-Loop – An audio T-Loop is available at reception.
Baby Changing Unit – baby changing facilities are available in-house.
Family Friendly Venue – We welcome visitors of all ages: some exhibitions may require parental discretion.
