The darkest Place is under the Light
The Darkest Place is under the Light, a thought provoking exhibition of new works by Belfast based artist Breándan Clarke. Clarke has produced a series of photographic prints exploring the placement of text within the rural and urban landscape. question of nationality occur within the image frame in the form of graffiti or advertising slogans, and on occasion it is manipulated or placed by the artist in order to amend the meaning/message related by the image.
The Golden Thread Gallery has produced a series of exhibitions exploring artworks featuring text as an integral element of the image. The Darkest Place is Under the Light is the next installment from artists who use text within their practice, investigating the nature of how text and images relate and reform visual meaning.
