Our series of lunchtime artist talks continues with ceramic artist Anne Butler in conversation with Kim Mawhinney about her exhibition Objects In Time and about her extensive career as a practising artist. This is a free event, with tea / coffee and biscuits served. No need to book, please come along join us in the Gallery!
Anne Butler completed a BA in ceramics from University of Ulster in 1985, and then studied an MA in ceramics in Cardiff. She has exhibited extensively internationally and been awarded the Rosemary James Memorial Fund Award and other ACNI grants.
Kim Mawhinney is Senior Curator of Art at the Ulster Museum, National Museums NI. She is primarily responsible for the historic and international contemporary Applied Art Collections and since 2009 Kim has also curated the Troubles Art collection.
