The Go Girl Collective are hosting a DIY zine workshop in Golden Thread Gallery between 1pm and 3pm on Saturday 10th June to complement the Juno Calypso exhibition. Focusing on strong women and “the female gaze”, the Go Girls invite participants to join them for an afternoon of crafting, drawing and DIY female empowerment!  Participants will each create a page that will be included in a collaborative Go Girl zine.  Copies of the zine will be ready for collection in Golden Thread Gallery the following Saturday.

Go Girl is a collaborative community of young creatives based in Belfast and Derry who believe in feminism, opportunity and inclusion. They believe in nurturing a network where women are understood, respected and supported in their individual endeavors. This network opens a dialogue between young women in our city who wish to collaborate, share and create in an environment that allows for freedom of expression without reprimand.
