Community Exhibition
The Golden Thread Gallery proudly presents Over to You. In recent Months North Belfast has been portrayed continually by the media in a very negative light. The Golden Thread Gallery through this exhibition will attempt to focus on the more positive aspects of living in North Belfast. The aim is to give something back to the area, by remembering local individual talent, and encouraging the individual to remember what makes them unique.
Therefore the Golden Thread Gallery will present an exhibition in celebration of North Belfast. Over to You will feature works from the people of North Belfast. The whole point of the exhibition os that the public will decide what they want to show in the gallery – what they consider as art. The works on show will not necessary comply with conventions consideration of art, but rather showing off the talent of the individuals, and take the form of anything from knitting, baking, cooking, D.I.Y, home-videos and so on.
