We’re delighted to announce that the Golden Thread Gallery will re-open to the public on Friday 11th December, with our wonderful exhibitions Put It To The People and What al-Nadeem Knew.

In order to keep all our visitors and staff safe, and follow government guidelines, we’re asking all visitors to book their visit in advance if possible. If you haven’t booked you are still very welcome, but you may need to wait as there’s a maximum of 15 visitors allowed in the gallery at one time.

To book please email us on [email protected] with the following information:

  • Name of each visitor
  • Planned date of visit
  • Planned time-slot of visit (see below)
  • Contact email and/or phone number

Available time-slots for visits are as follows:

  • 11.00 – 12.00
  • 12.00 – 13.00
  • 13.00 – 14.00
  • 14.00 – 15.00
  • 15.00 – 16.00

A maximum number of 15 visitors will be allowed into the gallery during each time-slot. You are free to arrive any time during your booked one-hour slot, up to ten minutes before it ends. We recommend giving yourself at least 20 minutes to tour the exhibitions!

Our other new safety measures include hand sanitisers, signage to guide you through the exhibitions and asking all visitors to please wear a face-covering in the gallery at all times.* Disposable masks will be available from our front desk for a donation of £1.

We will have one accessible bathroom available to visitors only. If you have any other accessibility needs, please let us know in advance and we will do our utmost to facilitate you.

If you have any questions, please do let us know. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Golden Thread!
