Join us on Thursday 4th February at 2pm as our series of online discussions about improving diversity and inclusion in the arts in NI continues with two of the founders of the social media, storytelling and activism phenomenon Black and Irish.

Black and Irish was created less than a year ago in the wake of the death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter public protest, by Leon Diop, Femi Bankole and Boni Odoemene. The organisation expertly uses social media – they’ve garnered 48k followers on Instagram alone – to platform the experience of growing up black on all parts of this island, highlighting & celebrating the struggles & successes of the Black & Mixed Race Irish community. Their motto is ‘One island, many voices’.
