One Place Twice
Curated by Declan Long and Brian Kennedy; featuring artists: Helen Sharp; Tim Lloyd; Louisa Sloan; Geraldine Allen-Ross; aimnin and Ciara Healy.
The exhibition was curated by Declan Long and Brian Kennedy and a wide range of art practices were represented including sculpture, photography, video and performance.
The selected artists were current, relevant and active and have made recent but consistent contributions to the visual arts in Ireland. They also share a certain dichotomy of extremes within their practice, which is highlighted in the catalogue essay by Declan Long and which is inferred by the title of the exhibition.
The catalogue accompanying the exhibition also included a text by Brian Kennedy on the issues facing emerging artists ad discursive texts on the practice of each of the artists by Julie Bacon, Mick Wilson, Mark Garry, Ruth Jones, Roddy Hunter and Niamh Ann Kelly.
The exhibition was supported by Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Awards for All and the Arts Council of Ireland.
