All that glisters is not gold and secrets never to be told are some of the ideas explored in a new exhibition by Deirdre Mc Kenna. Love, magic and the power of the everyday have been transformed from ideas into sculptural forms. Our superstitions and our reading of symbols are challenged, though the subject matter is approached in a playful manner, using an explosion of colour and gentle movement.

The exhibition runs from the 4th until the 21st of June in the Project Space at the Golden Thread Gallery. McKenna is a Belfast-based artist working in painting and sculpture. She is an ex-director of Catalyst Arts and a studio-holder in Flax Art Studios.
